Panacea has a proud history of delivering systems integration and e-business solutions stretching back more than twenty years.  Even back in 1986 we recognised the importance of having a strong software development team to ensure that our business solutions met the exacting requirements of our fledgling customer base.

Since then our customer base has grown to more than six hundred companies and the technologies that we deploy to meet our customers’ needs have evolved to a point where they might seem utterly alien to an IT professional transported forward from the year 1986.  What hasn’t changed is the need to seamlessly integrate best of breed applications to create highly functional solutions that drive new behaviour, improve productivity and enable better decision making without imposing constraints on human creativity.

There is no doubt that the choice of technology is important when creating successful integrated solutions but of equal or greater importance is a detailed understanding of the business workflow and how that workflow is implemented within and between the business’s core applications.  Integration is not about having the wherewithal to extract data from database x and insert it into database y.  With great enthusiasm, many IT companies will claim that they can do this and completely miss the point.  Integration is about understanding the business logic in application x, the way that logic affects the broader business workflow, the human interaction with the process and the importance of the resulting data in application y.  And, of course, application z, the application sitting quietly in the corner that no one noticed when they began exploring the possibility of integrating applications x and y may well turn out to be key to the project’s success.

Panacea’s approach to integration recognises that the business objectives are paramount, that integration is not just about technology and that the majority of the time and effort involved in integrating solutions is likely to be invested in dealing with what happens when something out of the ordinary occurs.  This is a key requirement that is often overlooked by less experienced integrators and is the cause of much customer dissatisfaction.

Understanding how to investigate, specify, develop and deliver seamless applications integration is not something you can teach to a graduate and expect them to master in a year or two.  This is why Panacea relies on a mature team comprising business and development consultants each of whom has many years experience of systems integration.  In fact our Systems Integration team has an average of seventeen years experience of developing these solutions.  If they haven’t seen an issue, dealt with it and built the resulting knowledge into the next version of our proven integration framework then there’s a reasonable likelihood that no one else has either.

This proven combination of highly experienced integration specialists and a standard, highly evolved integration framework developed over many years, but which complies with the latest standards for a service oriented architecture, means that we can greatly reduce the risks of project overrun and failure.

Because we have so much experience we may not offer the cheapest initial quote.  We won’t claim to be integration experts simply because we know how to get data out of Microsoft SQL Server.  We will highlight everything that you’ll need to consider before committing to an integration project and, over the whole project lifecycle, we expect to offer excellent value for money and the best chance for project success.
